Fat Transfer

Fat Transfer is a revolutionary cosmetic procedure that restores youthful appearance and enhances natural body curves using your own fat. Fat transfer, also known as fat grafting or liposculpture, is a surgical procedure that involves taking unwanted fat from one area and moving it to another area that needs it. Many areas of your body can be enhanced via fat transfer including your face, breasts, and buttocks. Fat injected into areas requiring additional volume produces safe, long-lasting, and natural-appearing results as volume is replaced in tissues where fat is diminished. Fat transfer involves removing fat from one part of the body, purifying it, and then carefully injecting it with specially designed needles into the areas requiring augmentation.

Why get Aesthetic Enhancement with Fat Transfer?

Fat injection or grafting is a technique that is growing in popularity. Fat is one of most well-tolerated fillers available to aesthetic surgeons, giving it the potential for several different applications. It is natural, provides long term results, and is safe. It is extremely effective as a filler used for enhancing body contour, revising scars, filling depressions created by liposuction, and rejuvenating the hands and face. Most importantly, because it is a natural substance from your own body, fat transfer doesn’t have the inherent risks associated with synthetic fillers.

You can restore lost volume in the face with fat taken from the abdomen, thighs or other areas. This procedure is effective in treating sunken cheeks, facial lines, acne scars and other areas of lost volume that have developed as a result of aging, sun damage and other conditions. Fat transfer can also be used as natural breast augmentation for women who wish to enhance their breast size without the placement of silicone or saline breast implants.

Regenerative Face Lift

What is a regenerative face lift?
A regenerative face lift uses PRP (Platelet-rich Plasma Therapy), an amazing new technology, to rejuvenate your face. This treatment lets you:

  • Take your own blood
  • Extract powerful platelets and
  • Infuse them back into your skin
  • So your skin can rejuvenate itself and build collagen!

This is a new treatment that many Hollywood stars are now using.  Try our regenerative face lift treatments to minimize wrinkles!

Here’s how a regenerative face lift work:

  1. The Arthritis & Lupus Clinic of Houston’s trained staff draws blood (an amount similar to what is required for a basic lab test).
  2.  Blood is placed into a special centrifuge and spins the blood at a very rapid rate to separate the platelets from the other components of the blood.
  3.  The platelets are activated by using one of two methods that are natural to your body. This activation of platelets is the final step in producing your very own platelet-rich plasma. The best way to visualize PRP is to remember the yellow “goo” that surrounded the scab you had when you fell on your knee as a child. The thickening of the serum to form that yellow material holds specific growth factors in place that call stem cells to the area and activates them to create new skin. Results can vary.

Some of the areas that can respond to PRP therapy include:

  • Fine wrinkles around the eyes (the dreaded ‘crow’s feet’)
  • Loose skin on the neck
  • Wrinkles on forehead and lips
  • Acne or sunspots
  • Stretch marks or scars
  • Skin Discoloration

Regenerative Breast Lift

Have you recently looked in the mirror and felt dissatisfied with the droop or lack of fullness in your breasts? Have you considered a breast lift procedure but do not have the time to spare for the recovery process? If this is your case, you might want to consider the amazing new V Regenerative Breast Lift.

The Regenerative Breast Lift is a revolutionary, non-invasive procedure that uses your own natural blood cells to lift the breast and nipple position. It can also add more pronounced cleavage or volume at the top portion of the breasts. The Regenerative Breast Lift works by isolating growth factors from within your own bloodstream and injecting them into the nipple, breast, and areola, forcing a regenerative process within the body that improves texture, lift, and even sensation to your breasts and nipples.

The Regenerative Lift is an ideal way to combat the signs of aging breasts by literally activating the growth of new breast tissue. What are the signs of aging breasts?

  • The shape of your breast has changed, becoming more collapsed or droopy
  • Your breast skin color has become more gray
  • You have crinkling skin in the cleavage area
  • Your nipples are low or inverted
  • Sensation is decreased

At Arthritis & Lupus Clinic of Houston, patients can enjoy the benefits of a breast uplifting procedure without surgery.

Why Choose a Regenerative Breast Lift?
Pregnancy, age, and even genetics can all contribute to sagging or drooping breasts. Oftentimes, patients will request a breast lift simply because they want a breast profile that is more youthful and uplifted, rather than a lot of added volume. However, the scarring left behind by a surgical breast lift (mastopexy), as well as the time needed for recovery can be major deterrents.

A Regenerative Breast Lift can help rejuvenate your breasts non-surgically by injecting multipotent stem cells that then develop into new collagen (for firmness), new blood vessels (for a healthy glow), and new fatty tissue (for smoothness) which stimulate your body to “repair” the skin in the breasts. The result is younger-appearing skin and increased volume in the breasts. Since the Vampire Breast Lift® uses your own body’s healing capabilities, the effects of the procedure improve for 2-3 months and can last for 1-2 years!

The Regenerative Breast Lift uses a 2-step process:

• Step One: Carefully isolate from the patient’s own blood growth factors containing healing and regenerative properties. During the procedure, a small amount of blood is usually taken from the arm. It is then spun in a special centrifuge that extracts only platelet rich plasma (PRP).  The platelets are activated to release eight growth factors that your body would normally use to heal injured tissue.

• Step Two: This is where the magic happens! Once the growth factors have been activated, they are ready to be injected. Numbing cream will be applied and a very small needle will be used to inject those growth factors directly into the breast in a very particular way, where they can be stimulated to grow new tissue to replace the skin in the breasts that has lost its volume, elasticity, and sensitivity. This will leave your breasts looking and feeling plumper, rejuvenated, and lifted!

Though the name sounds a little frightening, rest assured that the Regenerative Breast Lift is a safe and effective way to lift, rejuvenate, and volumize the skin. This procedure is perfect for busy women looking for a lift procedure but who don’t have time to recover from a lengthy surgical lift. The entire process takes less than an hour to perform. It also requires no anesthesia and no downtime, so there is no need to worry about missing a lot of work days. Other benefits of a Regenerative Breast Lift over a more traditional mastopexy include:

  • It is a minimally invasive approach to uplifting the breasts that offers proven results
  • Does not leave the scarring associated with a traditional breast lift
  • It uses your own blood to naturally stimulate new collagen in order to rejuvenate your breasts
  • Enhances your figure and self-esteem by improving the shape, position, and sensation in your breasts to a more rejuvenated state without anesthesia or downtime

The Botulinum toxin, AKA Botox is a non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates- frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. It can also be used to treat patients who experience chronic migraines, urinary incontinence or excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis).

How does Botox Injection work?

Botox injections are a very quick, simple and painless procedure that can take years off your appearance. Fine facial lines and wrinkles can develop on our forehead, glabella (the area between the eyebrows) and crow’s feet over time as a result of making the same expression over and over. When used as an aesthetic treatment you will notice the gradual softening of lines in the affected area. This  results typically last 3-5 months. Botox blocks the nerve impulses and temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. While every patient is unique, most people begin to notice the effects of Botox within 1-10 days.

Botox Recovery

No anesthesia is needed but we encourage our patients to ice the area to be treated moments prior to the injection to ensure that the treatment is pain-free. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately following their treatment, however; we do not recommend exercising or lifting 24 hours after Botox injections to ensure that the product does not migrate. Patients that take prescription blood thinners or Fish Oil, Vitamin E or Aspirin on a regular basis may experience mild bruising.
